Dryer Vent Cleaning

"The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission estimates that approximately 14,000 clothes-dryer-related fires occur each year. Some of these fires may occur when lint builds up in the filter or in the exhaust duct. Under certain conditions, when lint blocks the flow of air, excessive heat build-up may cause a fire in some dryers."

When doing laundry, a large amount of lint is produced during the drying process. The lint can restrict or block the dryer vent. A poorly venting dryer is not only less efficient, it can also be a fire hazard due to the extreme flammability of lint. If your dryer is gas heated and not venting properly, not only is it costing you more money, but there is also a potential for carbon monoxide poisoning to the occupants of that area. Gas dryers vent the exhaust from combustion out the same way as lint. If your dryer is taking too long to dry regardless if it is gas or electric operated; it is possible that the vent is restricted. These vents can be safely cleaned of all lint and other debris saving you money on operating and maintenance costs. We have found dryer vents to be blocked with bird's nests, bottles, rocks, sticks, and numerous articles along with lint.

Dryer Vent Cleaning Process

How we solve your home’s dryer vent lint problem safely and effectively:

Our company uses a compressed air tool called a "spinning reverse ball". This device shoots air backwards to the dryer vent termination hood, located outside, at 250 psi while pushing itself through the dryer vent. All of the lint is blown outside. The technician collects the lint and disposes of it per E.P.A. mandates.  This entire process can take up to one hour to complete.
